Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system. Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Supports software project management and software supplier management functions. Performs software research and trade studies. Troubleshoots software issues.

Works with the direction/mentorship of Principal/Senior Nondestructive Evaluation engineers to develop, certify, qualify, and implement Nondestructive Evaluation software and systems software across the enterprise. The selected candidate will be engaged in software development for inspection systems for data acquisition, catalog and analysis.

Works with the direction/mentorship of Principal/Senior Nondestructive Evaluation engineers to develop, certify, qualify, and implement Nondestructive Evaluation technologies across the enterprise. The selected candidate will be engaged in novel software development to support inspection systems.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry by December 2023

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio, Matlab, C, LabView, Java, Python, SQL

Signals processing experience

Image processing experience

Exposure to Nondestructive Evaluation (particularly ultrasonic inspections)

System troubleshooting experience

Exposure to automated robotic systems

Typical Education/Experience:Entry (Level 1)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Associate (Level 2)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
