Turner and Townsend Heery have a need for an on-site Construction Manager to oversee Government Projects for a high-profile government agency.This role is 100% onsite.ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with design professionals, contractors, and administrators to ensure an acceptable product according to contract specifications, local and federal codes, regulations, and district policy.In coordination with the Sr. Construction Manager, manages all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.Interface directly with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.Monitoring and applying performance management techniques.Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines, reports status and variances.Managing the change control process in coordination with the Sr. Construction Manager.Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure Client approvals, and issue change orders in coordination with the Sr. Construction Manager.Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk with management support in coordination with the Sr. Construction Manager.Manages the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards as defined by Turner & Townsend Heery and the client.Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.Is an integral part of the project delivery resources/team to achieve project goals.Implements communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed.Facilitates project meetings when appropriate.Ensures project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated.Implements standard risk management routines with management support, to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
