The Red Gate Group is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer (Expert) to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Washington, DC. This position supports CIO-6, which manages and operates JWICS. The role will contribute to the JWICS Modernization initiative by providing expert-level solutions integration engineering and technical support, including infrastructure design, system performance optimization, and strategic planning for networking, storage, security, and data center operations.Responsibilities:Review and examine existing infrastructure system performance for potential bottlenecksFor any identified infrastructure issues/bottlenecks, name possible solutions, and work with developers/engineers to apply those fixesPlan the overall design of infrastructure information and operational support systemsEngage in the planning/engineering of solutions/strategies for networking, storage/backup, redundancy, security and data center operationsAssist in the development of strategies for the configuration, testing, maintenance, and installation of application software, system hardware, system management tools, and operating systemsContinually work to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availabilityConsult with vendors and other IT personnel as needed for the development of problem resolution strategies specifically relating to IT infrastructure
