Position Title: Sales Manager
Reports To: COO / General Manager

The Sales Manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable planning control of the Sales department, including obtaining sales objectives, high C.S.I. and gross margin. The sales manager in our dealership also handles the majority of the F & I responsibilities. This is a very active role where your time will be both spent in the office and out in the field.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Monitor incoming sales leads multiple times per day
Schedule sales team to always ensure sufficient coverage
Monitor sales leads and quotes
Monitor incoming products
Monitor emails multiple times daily
Monitor manufacture communications
Follow up with sales leads that have stalled out daily
Listen to sales personal discussions and step in when timely
Lead sales team in product training
Lead sales team in ongoing sales training
Monitor and manage web-site inventory
Monitor and manage lead source accounts and social media
Monitor competitor lead source accounts and social media
Manage and facilitate off-site shows and displays
Actively work and build relationships for additional off-site displays
Manage and coordinate sales lot / yard display.
Manage and coordinate inventory pricing.
Work directly with manufacture representatives to ensure product knowledge is up to date.
Work with manufacture representatives to achieve highest return out of retail sales programs.
Creatively come up with pricing packages that promote cross department goals.
Creatively come up with sales strategies to turn slow moving products.
Assist sales team in their role.
Review sales deals for accuracy.
Creatively submit sales deals for financing in the most opportunistic way for approval
Assist sales personal with water demos as needed.
Monitor sales boats as they work through the service department
Work closely with the service manager to ensure promises and commitments are kept
Walk through shops daily
Work closely with the accessory and parts departments to ensure parts are ordered for sales deals
Work with the accessory department on specials or overstock
Work with the service manage to ensure that the sales yard is clean and organized
Rotate showroom displays
Build and manage sales deals.
Print and review Sales Department P&L weekly
Responsible for all Deal Documents
Manage all unit trade ins
Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent
Post-secondary management training helpful
Professional appearance and attitude
Previous sales management and employee management preferred
Expertise with manufacturer policies, warranties, direct sales
Working exposure to statistics, computers, and general accounting
Ability to learn quickly in a high-paced environment
Ability to communicate at a high level, both verbally and in writing
Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and a proven leader
Willingness to work nights and weekends
Have a valid state driver’s license
Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen
