Become part of the 2019-2020 Intermountain AmeriCorps team! Impact local communities through part-time service with area non-profit organizations, schools, and other educational settings.
Positions are available in the communities of Wenatchee and Leavenworth. All positions are part-time (20 hours a week) beginning in September, lasting for 10.5 months. AmeriCorps members come from all over the country, so you'll have the chance to serve alongside other diverse, dedicated, and adventurous individuals. Our 20+ member team regularly meets for personal and professional growth trainings and team-led service projects throughout the 10.5 month service term.
We're looking for passionate individuals who are interested in serving with us in North Central Washington. People join our team for several different reasons - to give back to the community and country, explore the education or non-profit fields, or gain some "real-world experience." You won't get rich by doing AmeriCorps, but the rewards are substantial. Some of the benefits are a monthly stipend ($750 per month pre-tax), health insurance, student loan deferment/forbearance, and child care (if eligible). Upon completing a term of service, members also earn a $3,047 education award that can be applied to college or student loans. If you're over the age of 55 you can transfer your education award to a child or grandchild.
