Position: Assistant Toddler Teacher, Part-Time (afternoon schedule)
Where: Children's Gate Montessori School
Age group: Toddler (12 months to 3 years)
Job Description: Care for the basic needs of the children in your supervision: safety, feeding, diapering/toileting, sleep. Assistants also support the lead teacher by doing over view and managing the activities of the children during Montessori work periods, transitions, meal times, and play times. It is also required to keep daily records for each child and maintain the cleanliness of the classrooms and common areas. You will learn about the Montessori philosophy and curriculum and how we implement them in the toddler classroom.
Assistant teacher Qualities: Respectful, kind, patient, professional, good sense of humor, fun, organized, hard-working, team player, good communicator, does well under stress, and willing to learn.
Requirements:
Within one week of hire: Apply for and pass background check and TB test.
Within three months of hire: Complete First Aid/CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, WA State Food Handlers Card, SAFE SLEEP, and 30 Hour STARS training. Our director will show you where to find and sign up for these trainings.
Compensation: $18/hr
