We are recruiting for a Special Education Paraeducator to serve the Mansfield School District. This position is 30 hours per week, school year schedule.
General Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Special Education Teacher, the Special Education Paraeducator is responsible for supporting and assisting students with disabilities in various school settings. The Special Education Paraeducator, consistent with the individual education plan (IEP) or individual family service plan (IFSP) assists the Special Education Teacher with lesson plan preparation; one-on-one and small group instruction; classroom management; student observation and assessment; and communication with parents and staff.

Salary:
The full salary range for this position is $19.66 - $24.44 per hour. Newly hired paraeducators will be placed on steps 1 - 3 of our salary schedule ($19.66 - $21.04 per hour). Step placement will be based on years of verified paraeducator or teacher experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Must meet one of the following educational requirements:
Associate’s degree; OR
48 semester/72 quarter credits from an accredited college or university; OR
Passing score of 455 on the ParaPro Assessment; OR
Passing score of 220 on the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment; OR
65% on The Master Teacher, Inc. Paraeducator Online Training Program
