Small Land Surveying and Engineering firm seeking qualified individuals with field crew chainman or crew chief experience. Would love a candidate that wants (or already has) an LSIT and desires to work towards a PLS licensure. Firm has two offices, one in Wenatchee and one in Leavenworth, Washington and has been in business since 1964. Land surveying office is in Leavenworth; during the summer months most work is performed out of that office, but there is the potential to work out of the Wenatchee office as well. Part-time employment may be an option.
Ideal candidate should have knowledge of and experience with:
Field operations and data collection for boundary and topographic surveys, flood elevations, construction staking, corner recovery, and corner staking.
Topcon GR5 GNSS, Topcon HIPER HR with WSRN, and Topcon GT 503 Robotic Total Station and
GPS equipment.
Carlson/Acad experience and experience with post-field calculations a plus.
Supervision of field crew site operations.
Position includes office and field time, split according to the needs of each particular job. Great opportunity to learn all aspects of land surveying and to attain an LSIT or PLS licensure (in fact, it is encouraged). May be required to walk over uneven or steep terrain for extended periods, successfully endure exposure to inclement weather, and to be aware of traffic hazards. Applicant should be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
On-the-job training may be offered to the right motivated candidate, but preference will be given to experienced individuals.
