Position Summary: The Revenue Integrity Educator is responsible for the development and management of educational programs that promote and maintain revenue integrity throughout the organization. Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve both front end and back end workflow. This includes insurance verification and coding, authorizations, clinical documentation, procedural and diagnosis coding and charge capture in an effort to reduce denials, ensure maximum reimbursement while complying with federal and state regulations. Responsible for monitoring and communicating federal and state guidelines, rules and regulations.Essential Functions:

Review regulatory publications and communicate pertinent information to appropriate staff and department leadership.

Remain current on Revenue Cycle changes to include but not limited to Epic functionality, coding, billing and insurance verification. Create and maintain training materials as appropriate.

Provide education and training in the areas of billing, coding, denials management and other revenue cycle functions to build and enhance the skill set of Revenue Cycle Super Users and staff.

Review system error and denial reports for trends and issues. Conduct education and training for front end staff, clinical staff, Physicians, Practice Manager and Service Line Directors in one-on-one or classroom setting as appropriate.

Must understand department and organizational strategy and operating objectives including their integral role to related areas. Contribute to the success of these objectives by identifying and executing improvement opportunities.

Participate in workflow design in order to gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of why workflows have been designed as they have and the importance of system functionality supporting those workflows.

Work closely with Revenue Cycle Analysts to review key performance indicators (KPI's). Create and maintain training materials and tip sheets to support the reduction/elimination of errors/denials and meet determined KPI's.

Coordinate and manage content for training area on Revenue Cycle Pulse page.

Assist with upgrade and optimization training within the Revenue Cycle.

Solicits trainee feedback and appropriately adapts training.

Follow established guidelines and procedures.

Assist with special projects as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of jobperformance at all times.Qualifications:Required:

High School diploma.

Certification required (CPC, CPB, CRCS-I & CRCS-P, or other relevant certification or advanced education).

2+ years experience working in the Epic system.

3+ years experience working in Revenue Cycle.

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Internet and other systems (CMS, Government and commercial payor portals and websites, etc.)

Ability to work independently and with limited supervision. Ability to work in a team environment providing support to multiple positions.

Ability to resolve problems and complete assignments accurately and timely.

Good organizational and time management skills to effectively juggle multiple priorities and time constraints.

Ability to develop workable implementation plans; communicate changes effectively; build commitment and overcome resistance.

Working Conditions:Work is performed in a normal office or classroom environment. Requires a combination of working independently and also working closely with others. Hours may be irregular at times: overtime may be required. May require travel to other CWH & C, WVH & C and CH locations.
