Yonder Cider and The Source Cider are two rapidly growing cider companies located in Wenatchee, Washington. We are a rapidly growing cidery based out of Wenatchee, Washington (production), Cashmere (taproom) and Seattle, Washington (taproom). Established in 2020, we are distributed throughout four states, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho and California. Picked and pressed in Wenatchee, Washington – the heart of Apple Country – we create cider that's as balanced, bright and complex as the land itself. Crafted using a blend of bittersweet cider apples and juicy dessert apples, our ciders are hardly simple, and never straightforward, but you can always count on them being interesting.
About the Position
We are looking for a skilled Packaging Lead to join our team immediately. The Packaging Lead is responsible for overseeing and assisting with the entire packaging process - including canning and kegging - ensuring quality of product is being maintained, standard operating procedures are being followed accurately, and safety remains a top priority. Job Responsibilities
Leading packaging runs on a Wild Goose Canning Line, including instructing other team members; operating the craft can filler and seamer during canning runs
Overseeing and assisting with kegging operations
Ensuring the product is packaged, carefully and within strict guidelines (proper fill heights, dissolved oxygen standards, etc)
Documenting key quality performance measurements
Adhering to and improving SOP’s of daily packaging activities including filling, seaming, checking, weighing, and offloading canned beverages
Participating in all packaging operations including CIP, filler operation, quality checks, palletizing, and movement of finished materials
Overseeing maintenance, cleaning and sanitation of the canning line, ensuring production and packaging areas are kept clean at all times
Independently troubleshooting all packaging equipment (filler, depalletizer, date coder, labeler, etc) and communicates issues with solutions to leadership appropriately
Communicating with can manufacturer regarding needs, misprints, etc.
Working closely with Production Team to coordinate maintenance and project work in a manner that minimizes production downtime; executes all manufacturer recommended preventative maintenance on all packaging machinery
Training other Brewery employees on proper packaging equipment/machinery operation and safety protocols
Planning, preparing, and executing packaging with Director of Production
Performing all other duties as assigned by management
Skills and Experience
Experience on Wild Goose and similar in-line beverage packaging lines.
Experience involving utility systems with a strong knowledge of air compressors, CO2, water systems, etc.
Ability to work independently and effectively with peers and display strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Impeccable attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of industry compliance and safety standard
Mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills
Requirements
Ability to work in a production environment with loud noise, strong odors, wet surfaces, hot and cold temperatures, and constant movement
Ability to work schedule as assigned by management to include early mornings and evenings
Ability to perform all tasks according to standard operating procedures
Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time
Ability to bend, kneel, reach, twist, stoop, and climb ladders
Strong and proven work ethic, and ability to multi-task workload
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $50,000-$55,000, depending on experience.
Paid time off and paid holidays

SCHEDULE: Start and end times may vary; estimated schedule is Monday - Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, but flexibility needed due to shifting production schedule; overtime may be required.
