Cascade Veterinary Clinic has an opening for a full-time, Licensed Veterinary Technician. Applicants with part-time availability will also be considered. Previous experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual!

Who We Are and What We Do

Cascade Veterinary Clinic began as a small, one veterinarian clinic in the beautiful Wenatchee Valley that has expanded and grown to our current twelve veterinarian, three location veterinary hospital. In addition to seeing cats and dogs, we also see exotics including birds, reptiles and pocket pets. Our hospital provides a full spectrum of services including wellness exams, immunizations, therapeutic laser, acupuncture, dentistry, digital radiography, in-house and reference laboratory services, ultrasound, and orthopedic surgeries. We are a fast-paced practice that fully utilizes its staff, promoting personal satisfaction and growth. Our patients and clients receive high-quality comprehensive care with excellence, enthusiasm and compassion. We care about our patients, clients and each other.

Applicant Qualifications

A current Washington State license is required. Well suited individuals are detail oriented, proactive in anticipating the needs of clients, patients and co-workers. Technical skills need to be delivered in a safe, thorough, accurate and compassionate manner. Positivity and the ability to express yourself well through both written and verbal communication are key. Accurate typing and strong computer skills are required. Providing excellent patient care and customer service are of utmost importance. Candidates must be willing to work a weekend and on-call rotation. We offer a $2.00/hr weekend differential.

Responsibilities:

* Compassionately, calmly and gently handle patients in our care

* Surgery preparation, IV catheter placement, induction, intubation, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative recovery and care

* Pharmaceutical knowledge and administration, including monitoring of therapeutic response and associated side effects

* Diagnostics, including digital radiography, ultrasound, IDEXX in-house/reference laboratory, etc.

* Collect, prepare, and label samples for laboratory testing, culture, or microscopic examination.

* Client education and patient follow-up

* Work collaboratively with veterinarians and other team members to ensure that all animals are being cared for properly and moving through the system efficiently

* Keep the hospital well maintained and presentable
