POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: DISTRICT COURT - Bailiff/Interpreter
Salary: PW06 Steps 2-4 $4,201.57–4,588.65 Longevity Steps 5-8 $4,796.82–5,485.88
The position includes a state retirement system, with a deferred comp program available. Health insurance package includes Medical, Dental, and county contributions to a personal health savings account. Includes up to 11 paid holidays and additional floating holidays per collective bargaining agreement. Along with monthly accrued vacation and sick leave.
SUMMARY
The bailiff/interpreter performs a variety of duties related to courtroom activities and courtroom security. Serves as an interpreter for Spanish speaking defendants and witnesses as required. Maintains order in courtroom and guards the jury from outside contact by performing duties such as interpreting and translating documents, assisting Spanish speaking customers in court and in the office, as well as performing bailiff duties in the courtroom and during trials.
