Griggs Accounting & Payroll Services is expanding and seeking a motivated experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our firm. Our firm provides outsourced accounting services, values our clients as well as empowers growth.
This position is not a remote position and requires an in office presence.
WAGE:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
BENEFITS:
Vacation to begin accruing after 90 days. 15-25 hours a year based on part-time employment. Holiday Pay based on part-time employment.
HOURS:
15-25 hours a week with potential for hours to increase. Monday - Friday with the potential for flexibility as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to be present in-office
2-3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience preferred but not required
10 key proficient
Must maintain confidentiality at all times
General understanding of Accounting Principals
General understanding of Payroll Laws
General understanding of Department of Revenue Laws
Experience with Excel
Experience with Word
Experience with Microsoft Office
Experience with QB Desktop & QBO
Must be professional
Must be dependable
Ability to meet with clients
Ability to meet deadlines
Willing to learn
Great with client interactions a must
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Payroll Preparation
Payroll Quarterly Reports
Year End W-2’s
Accounts Payable
Year End 1099’s
Accounts Receivable
Bank Reconciliations
Categorize Expenses & Revenue
Journal Entries as needed
Preparation of Department of Revenue Returns
Prepare clean Trial Balance for end of year Tax Preparation.
Assist clients with questions
Assist with on-boarding of new clients
Assist Principal Owner with projects
Keeping digital record’s organized and up to date
