Feel comfortable frequently picking up the phone and talking to our customers and our inquiring prospective clients. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely over the phone and over email. Must have a genuine desire to help people and offer solutions. (We never do "high pressure sales" we only offer what is in their best interest as our clients trust our recommendations.) Do you like to make lists and love crossing things off as "done"? Do you have the ability to be focused and organized and maintain a high level of self motivation, focus and organization? Do you like accuracy in your work? Are you highly reliable and able to manage your own work? Do you have good to very good: typing speed, computer/internet skills and grammar? Like prefer lots of variety in your day and lots of fairly short tasks as opposed to projects that take weeks or more?
The main functions of this job are: Customer Service: handle customer service for existing clients while seeing where coverage may be lacking i.e. create and sell new sales opportunities. (25%), Client Retention: reshop existing clients if their premium changes are significant and rewrite them. (20%), Rater: support senior staff sales by completing personal and commercial applications, accurate rating, shopping and analysis for new policies for the senior agents to sell. (20%) and Admin. Assistance - help agency principal with various administrative tasks. (15%), Selling personal and commercial policies that other agents refer to you to handle from start to finish.
Additional requirements: Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality. Credit score of 600+ and drug/smoke free. Must be able to pass insurance exams. Must be able to pass insurance licenses (home and auto) within 6 mo. a college degree or some college is helpful but not required. The sooner you pass the sooner you start making significant commissions on top of bonuses. Attire: modest business casual.
At Leavenworth Insurance, we help you start or maximize your existing insurance sales career. We receive incoming phone calls and online requests from people who are requesting the insurance solutions that we offer. Others are just seeking to save money. Your work will consist of ascertaining the clients confidential specific needs so that you can tailor your product solutions to their needs. You may need to discuss with various insurance co. personnel if their products might be a good solution. Input data into various websites to obtain proposals from multiple companies. E-mail the best proposals to client and then initiate a phone conversation to summarize how your solutions fits their needs. Explain how they can get started with a new policy and the various pay plans available. Answer their questions and make any necessary adjustments to the proposal. Obtain payment, start the policy and complete any follow up paperwork. Record your activities and track your results, income and bonuses.
