Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced carpenter to join our construction team. As a key member of our framing crew, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, cutting and assembling framing components, and ensuring the structural integrity of residential or commercial buildings.
Responsibilities:
1) Interpret and analyze construction blueprints to determine framing specifications.
2) Measure, cut, and assemble wood or metal framing components according to project requirements.
3) Install structural elements such as joists, studs, and rafters with precision and attention to detail.
4) Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations during framing activities.
5) Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and project managers, to achieve project goals.
6) Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
7) Monitor and manage materials inventory, and communicate any shortages or needs to the project supervisor.
8) Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
1) Proven experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial construction.
2) In-depth knowledge of framing techniques, materials, and tools.
3) Ability to interpret blueprints and understand project specifications.
4) Strong mathematical and measurement skills for accurate cutting and assembly.
5) Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
6) Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
7) Physical stamina and agility to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
8) Must be able to provide own transportation to various job sites in North Central Washington
9) Must be able to pass a drug test
