GENERAL FUNCTION:
Ensure that assets are properly safeguarded and liabilities are properly recorded through review of internal controls within the department and the Association.
$50,520- $55,000 Starting Salary Range
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Perform audit procedures.
Determine compliance with established internal Association policies and procedures.
Determine the reliability and accuracy of the Association’s system of financial reporting.
Write exceptions for audit report.
Assist with coordination of the annual financial audit performed by the Association’s external auditor.
Work with federal bank examiners.
Perform special audit assignments at management’s request.
Stay current of compliance regulatory issues, through ongoing training, as they pertain to duties.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Associates degree in accounting or business; and 2 - 3 years banking experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
IT knowledge, experience or training is preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate courteously and professionally.
Typing and strong computer skills are required.
Ability to work well under pressure.
High degree of accuracy.
Organizational skills.
Ability to work as a team member and independently.

Salary range for an Assistant Internal Auditor is $50,520 - $62,000 “Other Compensation” includes a Semi-Annual Incentive Program payout and employer funded Defined Pension Plan in addition to an employee’s base salary.
