This position is eligible for paid shift differentials! Employees working evening hours (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. shift) will receive $1.55 per hour over their regular rate of pay, and employees working night hours (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. shift) will receive an additional two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per hour over their regular rate of pay. All staff members at Yakima Valley Memorial must be in compliance with our Vaccination Policy, which includes the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccine, by their first day of employment.ROLE SUMMARYThe Housekeeper maintains cleanliness of all areas of Yakima Valley Memorial to ensure standards of health, safety, and infection control. Cleans assigned areas of the hospital efficiently and completely. Maintains cleaning equipment. Keeps hospital clean by picking up debris from floors in hallways. Follows daily and weekly cycle cleaning requirements. Works with mops, vacuums, carpet sweepers, brushes, brooms, and housekeeping chemicals and cleaners. Manage linen and housekeeping carts. Organize on-duty time to accommodate workload, including unanticipated changes in assignments. Ensures adequate levels of soap, paper, and other supplies are maintained. Observes and reports any needed repair of equipment, furniture, building and fixtures as necessary to Environmental Services Supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Experience: Housekeeping experience preferred.
