I am currently seeking both a full time, live-in caregiver (salary position) and part time relief caregivers for my father who suffered an ischemic stroke. Must be compassionate and kind.
The live in caregiver position would receive a monetary stipend (monthly salary) along with room and board.
Part time caregiver is on an hourly wage and does NOT include room and board.
Duties for the caregiver position include preparing meals, giving oral medications, housekeeping, laundry, driving to doctor's appointments, and the grocery store.
We have a wheelchair accessible van for your use. You will be using a hoyer to transport from bed to couch, to wheelchair. He will need assistance with toileting.
My father is cognitively aware and able to communicate his needs. He is currently receiving in-home PT and is making progress towards standing with assistance using a pole.
His goal is to be able to stand and do a self transfer to a seated position. He is making great progress on this goal and is hopeful to attain it soon.
