Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.Explore our short clips, "WE are Yakima - WE are Family" and "YVFWC - And then we grew," for a glimpse into our dedication to our communities, health, and families.What We Offer$37.68-$46.16/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates100% employer-paid health insurance including medical, dental, vision, Rx, 24/7 telemedicineProfit sharing & 403(b) retirement plan availableGenerous PTO, 8 paid holidays, and much more!4% differential for International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)What You'll Do:Provide client care, conduct initial health assessments, and develop care plans based on health history and needsReview referrals for Maternal and Pediatric clients, determining needs and collaborating with healthcare providers to develop care plansMaintain ongoing communication with clients and professionals to coordinate services and adjust care plans as neededConduct office/home visits for pre/postnatal clients and newborn assessments, providing interventions and educationDocument intervention activities, mentor staff and students, and ensure compliance with guidelines and requirementsQualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Associate's Degree with two years experience in parent-child nursing may be substituted for the Bachelor's degreeExperience: Six months of experience providing newborn examsLicenses/Certificates/Registration:WA State RN License: If RN license is in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state, the following requirements apply:Must submit proof of license in state of residence.Must submit proof of completion for the required suicide prevention training during 1st week of onboarding.If relocating to Washington State, must obtain WA RN license within six months of hireMust update primary state of residence within 60 days (applies to anyone relocating to Washington State)Military Nurses are not required to obtain a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification within 90 days of hireInternational Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) preferred. Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverageKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred at level 10 for bilingual differential payKnowledge of and skill in using therapeutic communication techniquesKnowledge of established professional nursing concepts and all nursing proceduresKnowledge of the uses and effects of mother/baby medicationsEffective verbal, written, and listening communication skillsAbility to prioritize work and handle various tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptionsAbility to effectively and professionally interact with a variety of patients, patients' families, and employees.Ability to understand, assess, and react effectively to the unique needs of patients in all age groups.Basic proficiency with Word, Excel, and EMROur mission celebrates diversity.
