Cole Industrial, Inc., founded in 1964 and headquartered in Lynnwood, WA, is seeking a mechanically inclined warehouseman to work in our Yakima Branch facility. Cole specializes in power plant, heating, mechanical contracting and industrial products including packaged boilers, industrial burners, heat exchangers and other boiler plant equipment for various applications. Cole Industrial provides new product sales, service, parts, technical support, testing and training throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska.
Essential duties and Responsibilities
Identify and report on equipment condition and on-going maintenance and repairs (non-code) of rental and used boilers
Assist with inspections, repairs and /or replacement of gaskets and misc controls and parts.
Take photos of rental equipment before shipping to jobsite and after return of equipment documenting missing/damaged parts
Drive to multiple locations and transport parts and materials to and from specific destinations (vehicle provided)
Maintain shop interior and outside boiler storage yard in clean and organized manner so parts and equipment are easily and safely accessible
Check in deliveries and verify bills of lading
Complete all work in a safe and thorough manner using proper tools and personal protective equipment
Produce all written paperwork in a clean, concise and timely manner
Occasional overtime, nights, weekends or holidays as needed
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, 6-12 months related warehouse experience and/or mechanical training, or equivalent combination
Valid Drivers License required. Must be insurable with no major infractions
Personal Computer skills required
This job requires daily verbal, written and electronic communication along with the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times
You must possess the ability to take direction, work alone or alongside other technicians
Must be able to drive a forklift, move/carry/lift heavy materials of 50-100 pounds
An interest in attaining a higher level of boiler repair knowledge to grow into a service technician
