What the jobs about:
You will be communicating constantly!
You will be listening and speaking to people in person, by phone, and via Qualcomm (our satellite communication system), or 2-way radio. Your ability to listen, speak plainly and communicate effectively will be necessary.
You will be multitasking all the time!
Our dispatchers deal with a lot of moving parts including people, equipment, customers, shippers and receivers. You will be tracking driver's movements and keeping tabs on what they and our customers need.
You will be problem-solving!
You will need to be able to prioritize the most important situations, and think quickly on your feet. You will be continually re-working loads, changing direction, and handling pressure.
You will be working on the computer!
You will be using transportation software (Keystone), Qualcomm, Outlook, and the internet to enter orders, dispatch loads, find loads, contact customers/shippers/receivers/drivers. You will need to be efficient at computer use!
If you have in-depth transportation history, exceptional phone skills, computer savvy, and dynamite self-motivation we want to talk to you!
