Asphalt/Prep Crew Members & Equipment Operators - (Updated 6/23/2022)
Who We Are
Central Paving, LLC was founded in 2009 by the Greear family of Ellensburg, WA. We operate throughout Central and Western Washington. Our services include asphalt paving, asphalt repair, sealcoating, pavement marking, crack sealing, and grading to residential, commercial, industrial, and public customers. We employ 75 team members and perform approximately $22 million in revenue annually. Central Paving is currently experiencing rapid growth (average 54% per year for the last 5 years) and is looking for quality people to join our team.
Summary of Responsibilities
We are seeking qualified crew members and equipment operators for our asphalt paving and prep crews. Equipment operators and crew members have these skills and experience:
- Operating all or a combination of paver, screed, roller, skid steer, backhoe, grader, excavator, trucks, etc.
- Experience leveling, grading, and shaping subgrade and base material
- Willingness to grab a broom, shovel, rake, wheel barrow, etc. and perform labor work
- Entry level crew members will have an eagerness to learn a new trade and/or expand on their existing knowledge
General Requirements
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Proficiency in English
Focus on safety and quality
Cell phone
Ability to lift a minimum of 100 lbs
Self motivated and punctual
Ability and willingness to travel on occasion (fully compensated both ways)
A CDL is not required, but a definite plus
Compensation
- This position has a wage range of $18-$32/hour depending on experience and job performance. Reasonable annual earnings are $70,000 - $100,000 in an 8 month season.
- Prevailing wage work common ($45-$79/HR)
