Auto Art & Collision Repair is looking for an experienced Auto Body Refinish Prepper, who is career minded and not just, “job hunting.” This is a full-time position that includes commission compensation, DOE. Paid holidays after 90 days, one week paid vacation after one year, medical, Dental and vision offered after one year, also a simple IRA retirement plan.
Shop is busy year round with an unlimited amount of hours, prepper will split hours with painter at a % of labor hours
We spray PPG waterborne paint so experience in waterbase is a plus.
Must have your own tools.

Painting Preparation
Evaluate bodywork prior to starting refinish efforts
Responsible for preparing the damaged area of the vehicle for painting
Check all parts to ensure that they are correct for the repair assigned; if incorrect, notify the Parts Manager immediately
Responsible for protection of the vehicle from primer and overspray and any removal of overspray as necessary
Painting Process
This individual will be responsible for the formulation, preparation, and application of all primers. Knowledge of Waterbase PPG or waterborne a plus.
Responsible for use of all paint-related products according to the manufacturer’s recommended procedures
May be required to paint edges of panels and parts
Tools & Environment
Responsible for providing and maintaining own set of hand tools, including air sanders, miscellaneous air tools, spray guns
Maintain a safe and clean environment in which to work that reflects the excellent working conditions of the company
EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Experience or equivalent training in automotive prepping/painting.
