INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS AND RESEARCH ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

This is a year-round position with full-time administrative appointment. This position will report to the Vice President of Finance & Administration.

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Finance and Administration, the Institutional Effectiveness and Research Associate Director will plan, direct and execute all necessary activities to ensure compliance with accreditation commissions and agencies, federal and state regulations regarding higher education and other major reporting requirements. This position also is responsible for data gathering and analysis to support data-driven planning and decision-making.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Duties are performed in an office setting. Working effectively and collaboratively in a team environment is a must.

This is a salary non-exempt, full-time, regular position.

SALARY RANGE: $58,000 – $68,000

Employees accrue 10 hours of paid time off per pay period (up to a max of 6 weeks per year), a 30-minute paid lunch break, 12 paid holidays, and 4-day work weeks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree or certificate of completion from an accredited career college; or a combination of education and equivalent experience.

Evidence of commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement.

Demonstrated experience managing projects.

Evidence of attention to detail, critical thinking and the ability to independently multi-task.

Demonstrated use of statistical and analytical skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Demonstrated hands-on experience with an integrated database.

Must be willing to consent to a drug test.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree.

Experience with research, data collection, evaluation and reporting.

Experience with program development and evaluation in technical education.

Experience with ACCSC or other accreditation.

Knowledge of laws, standards, and regulations that affect Federal, State, and Higher Education.

Working knowledge of data analysis tools and language such as PowerBI, SSMS, and SQL.

Experience with Jenzabar

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Identify, coordinate, and complete accreditation and compliance activities including, but not limited to, applications, reporting, and audits, and ensuring internal compliance throughout campus.

Lead the collection and submission of the ACCSC Annual Report, including training and supporting various departments with specific reporting tasks and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all components of the report.

Execute projects to achieve and maintain accreditation status, including internal audits, self-study reports and annual institutional updates, WTECB and WSAC reauthorizations.

Oversee the implementation of new accreditation initiatives, such as additional program accreditations and certifications. Research, plan, and manage interdepartmental teams involved in these projects.

Maintain effective working relationships with ACCSC, WTECB, WSAC, and other regulatory bodies.

Maintain current knowledge of laws and regulations related to institutional effectiveness, research, planning, and accreditation.

Monitor changes and trends in the external environment (regulatory, political, higher education, economic, etc.) and determine resulting implications for PTI.

Anticipates and responds to any changes by modifying projects, functions and procedures to ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.

Work with all departments to ensure understanding of and compliance with regulations, standards of accreditation and the accreditation process.

Supports administrators in reviewing, interpreting, and determining the implications of various measures of institutional effectiveness and institutional research.

Develop systems and reports to ensure that key data, current and historical, is available and easily accessible.

Work with Information Technology department and other department managers to design and implement innovative solutions for displaying and disseminating information.

Plan, create, and maintain queries, reports and dashboards for use in applications, student success initiatives, and by departments throughout campus using data analysis tools.

Compile student data for reporting to state, national and accreditation agencies.

Compile statistical enrollment and academic data for use by school officials.

Maintain the SmartCatalog to ensure institutional compliance and efficient operations. Lead the catalog and handbook revisions.

Serve as the primary back up for registration duties.

Assist the Registrar with quarterly graduation activities.

Oversee and maintain the OneNote notebook for institutional procedures related to Institutional Effectiveness.

Have good attendance and the ability to work well with others.
