BASIC DESCRIPTION: Miller Electric is seeking sheet metal fabricators to join the Components Division team. The successful candidate will float to needed areas within the department and operate fabrication equipment including punching machines, press brakes, turrets, presses, lasers, spot welders and/or any other equipment within the department to produce products to specifications. Sheet metal fabrication experience is required.We’re looking for an individual who will demonstrate a safety-first mentality, regularly practice effective communication within a team environment, and be a team player by cross training within the department and in other areas of Components Division.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Run fabrication equipment including: turrets, punching machines, presses, press brakes, and lasers with the ability and willingness to learn set ups.Must run multiple pieces of equipment.Forklift experience needed.Reads blueprints and uses measuring toolsProven safety and quality recordPossesses a zero-defect mentality and commitment to producing quality workResponsible for material ordering and production schedulingThe applicant must be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment with minimal training.Applicant must have a proven track record of customer service skillsOther work duties as needed.
