Who we are looking for / Requirements:
Critical Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related degree
SAP/PLM experience
TOPS/CAPE/CAD experience
Basic knowledge of packaging development and operations/supply chain processes
Packaging Co-op/Internship experience and/or 1-3 years of professional experience required
Basic knowledge of end to end packaging development process, including printing processes and packaging industry
Strong planning/organizing skills with an ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and objectives
Strong analytical skills to collect and interpret data and information to improve material/package/product/process performance
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
Leads and supports packaging projects, including new product launches, process changes, and prototyping across materials like fiberboard, corrugate, plastics, and films.
Designs packaging to meet product protection, legal, and cost requirements while ensuring aesthetic appeal and functionality.
Ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, adhering to industry and corporate packaging specifications.
Integrates supply chain solutions and vendor operations to optimize cost and production efficiency, addressing manufacturing issues as needed.
Leverages knowledge of consumer trends and competitive landscapes to drive innovative, brand-aligned packaging solutions.
Conducts laboratory tests and technical assessments to qualify materials, copackers, and vendors, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
Acts as a packaging expert in cross-functional teams, delivering best-in-class designs, standards, and specifications.
