Who we are looking for / Requirements:
A Research Photographer is a professional who utilizes their technical skills and personal camera equipment to create high-quality images required for research studies. This role involves photographing child and adult research participants testing consumer products.
The photographer will maintain and manage all camera equipment, including lights, lenses, and tripods. Once the images are captured, the photographer will upload them to the client’s Digital Asset System, ensuring compliance with required standards. Image editing, when needed, will be performed by the photographer using client-approved and provided computer systems and software.
Additionally, the photographer will ensure the safety of study participants during photography sessions. This role operates under the general supervision of the client’s Study Manager.
3+ years of professional photography experience.
Proven ability to adapt to complex photographic situations quickly.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using various types of photographic equipment.
Comprehensive understanding of artificial and natural lighting and its effects on different settings, shapes, and skin tones.
Capability to work independently or collaboratively to meet project deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
High level of empathy for study participants.
Knowledge of the Responsible Conduct of Human Subjects Testing.
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
Select, set-up and verify equipment for use in research studies.
Properly light and photograph the subject.
Troubleshoot simple equipment issues.
Edit images as necessary.
Work within the Digital Asset Management system.
Follow direction of Study Manager.
