You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and assembly of a variety of equipment, including small landscape equipment, loaders, tractors, gas & diesel trucks, hydraulic equipment, and our own line of lake weed harvesting equipment. You will also manage the shop and oversee occasional customer repairs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Clean machines and machine parts using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to repair and move machines as needed.
- Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools or hoists.
- Inspect damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to specifications.
- Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and supplies.
- Lubricate machines and apply adhesives or other materials as required.
- Reassemble machines after completing repairs or maintenance work.
- Assemble Lake Weed Harvesting machines as part of our manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a mechanic.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a shop environment effectively.
- Experience with equipment maintenance and repair preferred.
