Manufacturing Engineer

Description: Evaluates production processes and makes recommendations for improvements Analyzes production processes, schedules, methods, and other data and then provides management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process Ensures that the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with all equipment requirements and limitations Reviews and calculates labor, material, and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making Analyzes and plans workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair services and makes sure that manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational Eliminates waste in the manufacturing process and applies innovative systems to improve company workflows Optimizes production programs for labor balance and stocking needs Provides flexible program offerings across multiple machines Ensures traceability and repeatability through programs and ERP communications Troubleshoots program challenges and reduce product inconsistencies Develops fixtures for program applications Manages fixture assets and instructions for successful and efficient fixture selection and use Problem solves and communicates effectively with work team Contributes ideas for continuous improvement of workflow and processesSkills:metal fabrication, Continuous improvement, Manufacturing engineering, Process improvement, Process engineering, stainless steel, Sheet metal, weldment, Lean manufacturing, large assembly, fixture design, workflow, process flowTop Skills Details:metal fabrication,Continuous improvement,Manufacturing engineering,Process improvement,Process engineering,stainless steel,Sheet metal,weldment,Lean manufacturingAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering. Process/manufacturing experience with sheet metal, weldments, and large assemblies. Experience with ERP systems, VISIO, AutoCAD.
