Description Robert Half is seeking a Senior Accountant to join an esteemed organization. This role is open due to growth and is essential in partnering with the Operations team internally. Expertise in cost accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, will be essential this role. Collect and analyze financial and operational data related to costs, including materials, labor, overhead, and other expenses.
Prepare regular cost reports, variance analysis, and cost-benefit analysis to identify trends, highlight cost-saving opportunities, and assess the financial impact of business decisions.
Monitor and evaluate actual costs against budgeted costs and provide explanations for significant variances.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, process improvements, and efficiency measures.
Monitor the effectiveness of cost-saving initiatives and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate and timely cost data and analysis.
Collaborate with finance and operational teams to develop detailed budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Data Management and Systems:
Maintain and update cost-related data and systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Develop and implement cost tracking and control mechanisms to enhance data quality and efficiency.
Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation tools to streamline cost analysis processes.
Requirements
Requirements of Position:
4+ years of finance/accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
Able to work within a collaborative environment
Strong analytical skills
