This role optimizes the wireless voice and data network by collecting drive test data, examining and interpreting network performance metrics and customer complaints. Optimizes by making configuration changes to antenna systems and network elements. Integrates new equipment and cell sites and evaluates performance.

• Collects drive test data to be used for both real time optimization and detailed analysis.
• Interprets network performance metrics on a daily basis to identify network performance issues.
• Process configuration changes such as azimuth and down tilt changes and air interface parameters in collaboration with the Network Performance Engineer and RF Engineer.
• Integrates new capacity and network elements into the network and measures performance.
• Resolves customer impacting performance issues in collaboration with Network Operations.
• Supports new device testing in the field and PRL changes.
• Identifies and resolves interference issues.
• Utilizes existing system performance tools to post process and analyze data.

• Associates Degree in Telecommunications related field or equivalent experience is required.
• 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong written verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Experience with Agilent Drive Test Equipment, Actix Analyzer Post Processing Tool, Planet EV, MapInfo, BSM
• Scripts/familiarity with switch parameters that impact on performance on Lucent or Nortel platform required.
• Familiarity with Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent, and Nokia Datafill and forms required.
• Proficient with MS Office - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, required
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong problem solving abilities. Moderate to minimum supervision over work product. Works independently on routine research and reporting functions.
• Travel required
