Description Robert Half is looking to bring a short-term contract / temporary Staff Accountant with exceptional organization skills and know-how into a growing organization. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. You will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, review schedules for the reporting processes, and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. A highly involved position, it works to produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed
Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for reporting to management
Partake in annual closing processes
Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments
Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation Requirements - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Vow to meet business deadlines
Current and relevant ERP system experience
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Payroll experience preferred
Solid understanding of QuickBooks
Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Accounts Payable (AP) experience required
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
