Direct and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Bindery department to meet production
schedules, quality standards, and safety goals. This role requires a balance of technical oversight
and team leadership to motivate staff, optimize equipment utilization, and ensure efficient workflow
across all shifts.1st Shift
Responsibilities:Production Leadership: Direct bindery activities to meet customer specifications regarding
quality, quantity, and delivery. Monitor machine output, productivity, and waste levels to
ensure operational goals are met.Operational Oversight: Develop and implement daily work assignments and schedules.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure materials are available and workflow is
seamless.Quality Assurance: Provide guidance on initial samples and conduct spot-checks during
production runs. Actively troubleshoot technical problems to minimize downtime and
prevent non-conforming product.Team Development: Motivate staff and facilitate training programs to build individual skills
and improve departmental efficiency. Provide recommendations for hiring, performance
evaluations, and disciplinary actions.Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety policies and housekeeping
standards. Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure that all staff members are
properly trained on safe operating procedures.Communication: Maintain open and positive communication across all shifts. Participate in
production planning meetings to report on job status and raise potential issues early.Continuous Improvement: Foster a team-oriented environment and support the
implementation of company-wide quality tools and efficiency initiatives.Perform other related duties as required.
