The Surgical Technologists Apprentice will collaborate with the preceptoring Surgical Technologist to provide a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff by working in accordance with Marshfield Medical Center standards of practice and by adhering to Marshfield Medical Center policies/procedures, universal precautions, and sterile technique.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.Minimum Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Enrollment in the MedCerts Surgical technologist program and completion of the three course program and sit for the NCCT TC C exam.Preferred/Optional: NoneEXPERIENCEMinimum Required: NonePreferred/Optional: NoneCERTIFICATIONS/LICENSESThe following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
