The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of the fixed equipment, grounds and structural integrity of Azura Memory Care facilities. The F Maintenance Technician identifies all repairs and/or maintenance work items which are to be performed and coordinates necessary schedules for completion of work.
â¢ Performs general maintenance, repairs, tracking of inventory of office furniture/equipment
â¢ Verifies that work orders are correct by verifying the work that needs to be done or by contacting the person that initiated the work order.
â¢ Responds to and performs maintenance and repair work in a timely and efficient manner.
â¢ Examines, performs, maintains and/or initiates repair(s) to the interior and exterior building structure and grounds
â¢ Oversees vendors and contractors to determine that work is correctly performed and completed in a timely manner, that the correct materials are utilized, and to ensure that procedures meet state requirements by reviewing plans and specialized drawings.
â¢ Obtains estimates and quotes of materials and equipment needed for repairs and the completion of job tasks.
â¢ Purchases materials through vendors and maintains documentation to ensure that items are received with appropriate guidelines.
â¢ Assists with landscaping duties as needed.
Education and Experience
â¢ High School diploma or GED required.
â¢ A minimum of two years' experience in facilities maintenance, with positions that demonstrated skill in mechanical, electrical and building maintenance systems.
â¢ Experience with painting, carpentry, electrical systems and installation of adaptive equipment.
â¢ Experience using shop equipment but not limited to hand tools, drill, table saw, drill press, band saw and/or miter saw.
â¢ Requires valid state driver's license, personal transportation, good driving record and auto insurance as required by law.
