The Taylor County District Attorneys Office has a full-time opening for a Legal Secretary. The Legal Secretary will perform a variety of secretarial tasks which require a general knowledge of criminal law, including procedure, legal documents and terminology. Individual will prepare a variety of legal documents and correspondence, act as receptionist, file, process incoming and outgoing mail, file documents with the court, interact with other agencies within the criminal justice system and other general office duties.
Individual should be a high school graduate with a minimum of three years of experience working in the legal field. Must have excellent grammar skills. This position involves access and handling of sensitive information, therefore, the ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
