We build automated liquid filling equipment and we have customers all over the U.S. as well as Canada and some abroad. We are well known and have a good reputation in the industry. The person I am looking for will have some good customer service skills and will be required to travel on occasion (2-3 trips/year) which is mostly here in the U.S. The typical trip is usually for machine start up/training and takes 3-4 days.
Mostly you'll be at our manufacturing facility here in Menomonie. You'll do a wide variety of things like building/assembling electrical enclosures, wiring, installing, programming the software for PLC's and HMI's, etc, etc.
Job Details:
Draw/design electrical schematics.
Layout/design electrical enclosures and sub-panels.
Mechanical assembly using power tools and hand tools.
Grinding, drilling and tapping.
Wire enclosures and machine control components according to schematics.
Work with pneumatics and hydraulics such as valves, cylinders, etc
PLC and HMI software programming.
As the qualified candidate gets familiar with the equipment there will be some occasional travel for machine
startups (train operators how to run the machine). Never weekends.
Other responsibilities will include troubleshooting machines over the phone or at the customers facility.
