Work with a group of engineers within NM's Risk Servicing Policy Change domain of the Insurance & Client Advocacy Experience group (ICAX), building high-quality applications used to help our clients service their products.

To support a growing team, we are seeking a hardworking, mainframe engineer with experience in .NET, who is passionate about writing code that meets business needs.

About the role:

  • Apply engineering standard processes in order to analyze and develop software solutions.
  • Develop software using established development and continuous integration practices.
  • Use established monitoring and automation processes.
  • Conduct code evaluations.
  • Participate in setting team standards and practices.


We are looking for the following skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in Mainframe technologies (PLI or COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, File-Aid, SPUFI, CA7, Changeman)
  • 2 years of exposure in VB.Net, RESTful Web Services, SQL, ServiceNow, IDz, CTRL+M
  • Experience developing solutions using agile methods. 2 years of experience working in JIRA or equivalent tool is a must.


Some nice to haves:
  • Experience with GitHub/Gitlab/Jenkins CI/CD Pipeline is a plus.
  • Experience with Node.JS and/or Kevlar.
