Description:Performs tool qualifications. Aids in the development of plastic processing project instructions to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem, and possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of materials or pats, or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies. Devises and recommends new or modified components of plastic injection molding machinery. Conducts tests such as process window studies and design of experiments of plastic injection molding processes to investigate proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors, or obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.
