Position Summary:"Under limited supervision and with readily available technical guidance, perform intermediate troubleshooting, repair and maintenance work on equipment and apparatus such as, laser cutting systems, fabrication equipment, automated machine tool controls, servo-mechanisms, etc., of standard design where a basic knowledge of electro-mechanical principles are required to diagnose and repair malfunctions."What You Will Do:The Senior Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in supporting facility operations by implementing new ideas to reduce energy costs and maintain equipment, with extensive knowledge of operation and maintenance procedures.
Check the operation of machines. Troubleshooting of electrical, electrical components, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Adhere to all OSHA and company policies and procedures, including Authorized LOTO procedures. Recognizes and reports unsafe work areas or conditions when discovered. Lead by example when working safe.
Perform complex preventative and predictive maintenance on machines and equipment using various tools and equipment.
Troubleshoots electrical and various types of industrial controls on manufacturing equipment for rebuilding, repairing or fabricating purposes.
Modify and rebuild manufacturing equipment to meet new machine requirements or production demands with engineering support. Provides input to proposed manufacturing equipment. Installs capital equipment.
Understands and interprets electrical & mechanical drawings/schematics for troubleshooting equipment with minimal assistance.
Maintain work orders on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Documents all machine preventative, predictive and/or maintenance repairs clearly and concisely for accurate maintenance record keeping.
Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials.
Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, control components photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.
Communicate effectively in a professional manner.
Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
What You Bring:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
A minimum 3+ years’ work experience in manufacturing environment.
Ability to problem solve, multitask, and work independently.
Laser cutting system experience.
Electrical experience with 12/24v - 120/240v - 230/480v.
Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, and Excel).
Good organization skills and attention to detail.
