Job Description: Project EngineerResponsibilities
Research and develop new manufacturing processes and materials.
Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
Evaluate designs and plan layout of equipment for production.
Conduct tests to evaluate the efficiency of processes.
Address issues of safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
Collaborate with other engineers, chemists, and production staff to ensure quality and efficiency.
Support ballistics testing and analyze data from testing.
Develop and maintain failure analysis procedures consistent with company quality policies.
Support all technical insertion activities as required and manage project implementation.
Analyze all drawing and technical data specifications to assure compliance with customer requirements.
Participate in weekly Integrated Product Teams (IPT) meetings as required.
Develop cost estimates for process implementation and production.
Document all created and modified processes.
Essential Skills
Project management experience.
Mechanical engineering expertise.
Systems engineering knowledge.
Customer relations skills, including support, communication, and qualification of program/project needs.
SolidWorks design experience.
Product development and management experience.
Experience in the defense industry.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of experience in the defense industry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with defense aerospace projects.
Program management and project engineering skills.
