Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our retail team in JANESVILLE, Wisconsin. This role entails the management of customer accounts, processing customer applications, and maintaining accurate customer records. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage and process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity. Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date. Prepare and post Journal Entries as per business requirements. Perform Month End Close activities, ensuring all financial transactions for the month are accurately recorded. Utilize NetSuite and Oracle systems for financial management and reporting. Work with QuickBooks for accounting and financial management. Utilize SAP for enterprise resource planning and data management. Oversee and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status. Requirements Possess strong skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficient in Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger maintenance Experienced in creating and managing Journal Entries Capable of handling Month End Close activities Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is essential Must have a strong understanding of retail industry standards and practices Excellent oral and written communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities Proven problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Previous experience in a similar role within the retail industry would be advantageous.
