Drive technical feasibility assessments for innovative concepts and deploy efficient process tools. Collaborate closely with engineering colleagues, gathering insights, receiving feedback, and participating in comprehensive reviews to uphold a standard of analytical excellence. Contribute to the refinement of analytical practices and enhance the effectiveness of the product design team through coaching and the implementation of best practices.Foster Collaborative Success: Partner seamlessly with cross-functional teammates in Marketing, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Industrial Design. Tackle tough decisions head-on, leveraging diverse team perspectives to generate superior solutions. Propose actionable next steps and drive alignment with business leadership to launch top-quality products swiftly and consistently.Leverage Global Talent: Engage, coach, and develop Centers of Excellence and Technical Centers worldwide, ensuring seamless project delivery and promoting parts reuse for maximum efficiency.Contribute to our Continuous Improvement: Evaluate designs for environmental sustainability, recommending enhancements that align with our commitment to excellence. Connect with customers and industry experts to understand installation needs and identify opportunities for quality improvements.Specific Responsibilities

Document and achieve product specifications aligning with customer, regulatory, and technical requirements globally.

Craft detailed projects and technical plans for both product development and improvement, collaborating seamlessly with engineers, support teams, and external groups involved in product design, documentation, development, drafting, prototype construction, and testing of product concepts

Establish and review plans for multiple international projects and plans complex projects

Share your experiences through documented insights, fostering knowledge-sharing within and beyond the department.

Be a catalyst for global progress by contributing to the enhancement of products and processes.

Utilize CAD to bring your concepts and designs to life.

Embrace occasional travel to engage with suppliers, customers, attend tradeshows, and visit various Kohler locations as needed.

Skills/Requirements

2-year Associate Degree from a technical college or Bachelor’s degree in a non-engineering discipline.

A minimum of 10 years related work experience in an engineering environment.

Previous experience with new product design and existing product optimization.

Global product development experience preferred.

Proficiency in 3D Modeling.

Ability to work independently and with a cross-functional team.

Ability to independently test, analyze, and solve technical problems.

Must exhibit excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.

International and domestic travel as needed.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.The salary range for this position is $83,300 - $105,200. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
