Staff Analyst, Valving and ControlsWork Mode: HybridLocation: Hybrid at Kohler, WIOpportunityResponsible for leading engineering subtasks of a complicated nature, scope consultation, and execution of technical designs for kitchen and bath products.Specific ResponsibilitiesPrimary Function:

Layout significant new components and products. Includes part tolerancing (GD&T), tolerance stack and evaluation of form, fit and function.

Performs assignments of a moderately broad technical scope.

Leads teams in Engineering best practices to practical problem-solving involving design and manufacturing.

Coordinate activities with Engineering Services to ensure that complete and accurate Engineering information (BOMs, drawings, product literature, etc.) is maintained in Kohler data systems.

Effectively work on multiple projects at the same time.

Additional Scope:

Maintain an up-to-date advanced knowledge of Kohler CAD software and related systems.

Capable of creating, managing and modifying advanced CAD models.

Familiarity with electro-mechanical system components, requirements, and general design.

Supervisory Relationships:

Receives general direction, however, exercises considerable discretion toward personal work details as well as other work details of other technical personnel.

Provides technical guidance to less experienced analysts and engineers.

Coordinates activities with other functional areas, suppliers, contractors, and consultants.

Communication:

Uses speaking, writing and active listening skills to effectively share information, express opinions, and motivate others to act.

Tailors presentations to the needs of the audience, while conveying mastery of the information and is persuasive.

Relationship Building:

Successfully establishes and maintains positive relationships with all contacts such as co-workers, suppliers, and customers.

Makes appropriate decisions using support tools, accurate data, and critical thinking.

Can justify risk under critical review.

Analysis:

Creates multiple approaches to complex problems and then applies Engineering techniques such as Design for Six Sigma, FMEA and others to optimize a solution.

Design:

Develop and optimize robust component and detail specifications (usually detailed on Engineering drawings) to meet customer, Kohler and regulatory requirements.

Create/modifies designs for complex problems; integrates subsystems and components in total systems designs.

Plan:

Establishes priorities and action plans for multiple tasks.

Monitors and takes appropriate corrective action to achieve project objectives.

Qualification and Verification:

Using FMEA and other Engineering tools, translate customer, regulatory and reliability requirements into a qualification (verification) test plan, and measure the performance of the design (tooling / process) to the requirements.

Qualification: Proving out the design. Verification: Proving out the tooling.

Skills/Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a non-engineering discipline.

8 or more years work experience in an engineering environment.Past results include successful leadership of technically based projects.

Candidate will use Creo, Windchill, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project Online, MS Teams, and SAP daily. Preference to candidates with electronics prototyping experience (Arduino, Raspberry PI, etc).

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
