Laborers Local 140- Office Manager Job Posting
Laborers Local 140 is seeking a dedicated and organized Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations and ensure efficient office management. This position plays a key role in supporting our members, coordinating union activities, and maintaining a smooth and professional office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and recordkeeping.
Provide administrative support to union leadership and staff
Assist with membership inquiries, dues processing, and benefit coordination.
Maintain accurate and confidential member files
Coordinate meetings, events, and communications with members and partners.
Prepare reports, letters, and official documents as needed.
Monitor office supplies and budgets
Payroll for employees, remit employee benefits, handling incoming and outgoing monies
Understanding of health/pension benefits
Attending monthly union meetings
Help with keeping office space clean inside and outside
Run website and social media pages- creating posts to engage with followers and promote the Local
Balance and reconcile business checking and bank accounts
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in office management, administration, or a related role preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multi–task
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Work Environment & Schedule:
This is a full-time, in-office position located at Laborers Local 140. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative and mission-driven environment. Office hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting pay of approx $25 per hour with benefits including paid time off, holidays, and paid health insurance coverage. 1 week vacation first year of employment, after 2 years-2 weeks paid vacation. Sick leave of ½ day per month up to 6 days per year.
