We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the skills necessary to provide high quality grooming services. This role involves working closely with dogs to ensure they are clean, well groomed, and comfortable during their grooming experience. The Dog Groomer will also educate dog owners on proper grooming techniques and animal care.
Responsibilities
Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
Utilize animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the pet and the groomer during sessions.
Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
Communicate with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs and provide recommendations for at-home care.
Handle animals gently and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
Stay updated on current grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best service possible.
Requirements
Proven experience in dog grooming or a related field such as veterinary assistance or animal care is preferred.
Strong skills in animal handling, dog handling, and animal restraint techniques.
Knowledge of various dog breeds' grooming needs and styles.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with dog owners.
A compassionate demeanor towards animals with the understanding of their behavior.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $35,000 - 38,000 per year
