Overview:
Join our dynamic team at G&M Insulation as a Mechanical Insulator, where your positive attitude and skills will be instrumental in enhancing energy efficiency and safety in various construction projects. In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing insulation materials on mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. Your effort and expertise will significantly contribute to the success of our projects while promoting sustainable practices.
What you’ll do:
Install insulation on mechanical systems, including HVAC units, pipes, and ductwork.
Utilize trade-specific tools effectively for measuring, cutting, shaping, and fitting insulation materials like fiberglass and foam to fit around various surfaces and obstructions.
Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure seamless integration of insulation work with other trades.
Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met and perform necessary adjustments.
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines on the construction site.
Basic qualifications:
A positive attitude, a readiness to acquire new knowledge, and a collaborative approach to work.
The ability to work in a variety of environments, including confined spaces and various heights.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in construction and a familiarity with various construction techniques.
Understanding of HVAC/Plumbing systems and their components.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and schematics to determine insulation requirements and specifications.
Mathematical skills, including measurements and geometry.
