RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is partnering with a client in Madison, WI to assist in a search for a Business/Data Analyst.
Overview:
The Business/Data Analyst will be a self-starter that works with minimal supervision who supports business strategy and utilize strong facilitation skills to elicit requirements and business needs from cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization, including vendors. The Business/Data Analyst will help define solution, scope, and objectives and/or process improvements to meet business needs. They will optimize business functions, business, and system process, understand impact of systems on business capability. They will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of IT solutions through data testing activities (reusability, performance, automation, etc.) and understand defect tracking and remediation. They will also serve as a liaison between IT and business units to resolve technology issues, they will understand and support complex and cross-functional assignments using various methodologies.
The Business/Data Analyst will also gain confidence of stakeholders at all levels of the organization in the problem solving and decision making analysis approach through effective leadership of these activities that result in appropriate solutions to underlying problems. This position could be training users and clearly communicated changes and impacts on processes and policies. They may be required to travel to sites where needed.
The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable working on an EDW agile/scrum team. This position will be a combination of a BA, QA, and Data Analyst with the majority of testing being with EDW data. Their team is looking for someone that can help the PO create/understand user stories as well as someone who is comfortable working with Business Users. Experience with SQL, Informatica, SaaS, and data set testing would be preferred. Healthcare experience will also help the candidate contribute to the team quicker.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in a Business or Technology related field
3-5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Software Development, and/or Quality Assurance
Solid communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Experience with working with Business Users
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and appropriate escalation skills
Willingness to be collaborative to achieve business objectives
Demonstration of strong teamwork skills
Self-Starter- quickly learn systems/processes and assigned work
Flexible with change, pivot and redirect as needed to meet objectives
Business Process knowledge/system knowledge
Requirements modeling
Test case development
SQL and test automation
Experience with requirements gathering techniques
Ability to quickly gain familiarity with systems, processes and assigned work
Technical proficiency with SQL, Informatica and SaaS
Experience working with data integration or experience working with visual requirements including but not limited to: logical data and process models, workflow diagrams, context diagrams and/or user interface mock-ups
Professional demeanor with the ability to model dedication and support for company goals
