Community Clinic Receptionist Madison , WI Share Posted 1 day ago Apply NowProcessing Email Job Apply NowProcessing Email Job Job DescriptionSUMMARYThe Clinic Receptionist will assist the GROW Comprehensive Community Services (CCS), and PROPs programs with the organization, administration and coordination of the day-to-day operations of the program. The Clinic Receptionist will answer telephones, support team members, and provide administrative assistance including entering of billing data. The position is part of a team that is committed to cultural sensitivity and demonstrates this by valuing difference/diversity and recognizing the strengths of all team members. The Clinic Receptionist reports directly to the Revenue Cycle Team Leader with overall program supervision by the Associate Director. Annual Service Hours expectation: 300 hours adjusted for hours worked. QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL

Demonstrate superior communication skills including the ability to take accurate messages, communicate calmly, effectively, and courteously with a variety of customers, both orally and in writing.

Demonstrate characteristics of flexibility, problem solving, multitasking and high attention to detail.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team.

Knowledge and understanding of how to work with confidential information.

Strong commitment to, and comfort working with, individuals recovering from mental health/AODA issues.

Experience in providing administrative support in a clinic setting.

PREFERRED

Bilingual Spanish/English

Demonstrate strong computer skills including the ability to develop and monitor databases, use e-mail, internet, Word, Excel and other computer apps and programs. Knowledge of/or experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reception and Consumer/Staff Interaction Activities

Answer phones: providing information, support, and direction to callers in a culturally sensitive manner, respecting the values, beliefs, and traditions of consumers.

Manage front desk office tasks including checking in consumers, scheduling appointments, and other office tasks such as making copies, maintaining supplies and supporting needs of clinical staff.

Maintain comfortable environment in waiting area by addressing consumer behaviors and concerns, acquiring other support when necessary.

Complete billing and documentation tasks related to the Dane County Portal documentation submission or credentialing tasks.

Maintain spreadsheets and databases to track tasks and outcomes as needed.

Provide coverage for other CCS program desks as needed.

Coordinate with clinical, nursing, and prescribing staff to support needs of the clinical programs, maintaining good working relationships and acting as part of a team.

The PSS will also complete timely and professional documentation of applicable clinical contacts with program consumers in Journey’s Electronic Health Record.
