Description We are seeking a Controller to join our clients team based in Madison, Mississippi. The Controller will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of our organization within the real estate industry. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing monthly financial packages, handling intercompany and consolidation activities, and managing day-to-day accounts payable and receivable.Responsibilities: Producing and managing the monthly financial package encompassing all financial aspects of the organization Handling intercompany and consolidation activities to ensure financial accuracy Overseeing day-to-day accounts payable and receivable to maintain an accurate record of financial transactions Creating new General Ledger (GL) accounts and maintaining the overall company account tree Executing balance reconciliation work to ensure all financial data is accurate Producing customized usage package reports to assist with business operational activities Managing payroll activities on a weekly basis Conducting monthly accounting duties in alignment with industry standards Utilizing skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, and Month End Close to ensure financial operations run smoothly Leveraging the Yardi ERP system to streamline and automate financial operationsRequirements Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Auditing skills are necessary for this role Prior experience with Month End Close processes is required Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferredRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
